Apartment/villa
catalog -has about 200 listings in Tuscany and Umbria, six in Lazio,
four on the Amalfi Coast and one on the island of Ischia. Most have
pools. About 60 percent of the listings are apartments on country
properties, including a castle, in medieval hamlets and in a restored
church in the medieval town of Cortona, setting of the nonfiction
best-seller "Under the Tuscan Sun".
About
40 percent of the listings are independent villas and farmhouses,
including two castles and two towers.
Prices
vary by the season. In July-August they range from about $600 per
week for a small apartment to $10,545 per week for a film director's
estate that sleeps 26 to 35. The median range in high season is
about $1,000-$2,000 per week.
